The new six piece collection is 100% silk – using one of my favorite old-school fabrics ‘Twill’ and fluid double silk georgette. The collection comes in a range of sizes: oversize 127 cm squares, classic 89 cm squares and the new 190 x 63 cm long rectangle.

The colors are inspired by the Victorian homes in San Francisco, very close to where I used to lived in Noe Valley. The Californian sunlight played on the vivid shades which adorn the facades of these stunning, highly decorative houses. Each scarf has also been named after one of the city’s streets: Bay, Dolores, Church, Fillmore, Noe, Clipper. 

I refined the abstract designs over many versions by experimenting with shapes cut from colored papers and by hand-drawing within a common grid. Some example on my facebook page : http://goo.gl/EFSby
